About Us
Gordon's Restaurant and bed and breakfast is run by Chris and Moira and their four sons. Peter (21), Calum (19), Ruaridh (16) and Brodie (10) all help with the running of the restaurant when they can although with Peter now travelling the world in the army and Calum working as a mechanic their appearances are getting more limited! Ruaridh has also now joined the army and is currently in Germany. Ruaridh is also in the pipe band as a drummer and dancer. Brodie however is still very handy when it comes to washing up! Peter is an award winning piper and has played many times with the pipe band in Braemar. He has also had the privilege of piping with his regiment for Her Majesty the Queen at Buckingham Palace. He has attended many prestigious events and concerts, including the Edinburgh, Moscow and Sidney Tattoo. He has recently returned from a tour of Iraq with his regiment.
Moira is an accountant and still has many clients from the local area but now dedicates most of her time to the business. Chris or 'Kippy' as he is more frequently known has lived in Braemar all his life where his father worked as the local joiner. Both Chris and his father have played an active role in the Braemar Games for many years.
